Prerequisites	As the lecture is conducted exclusively in English, students are expected to have English comprehension skills at C1 level.
Content	Lecture courses provide an overview of contemporary research on one clearly defined topic from within the field of literary studies. Wherever possible, historical developments in the research field in question will also be taken into account. General concepts and findings will be illustrated with a range of examples, with the aim of demonstrating the relevance and usefulness of contemporary research for students' own work as literary scholars.
Learning outcomes	Students will be able to: (a) outline the key concepts and findings presented in the lecture; (b) provide examples for each of these concepts and findings; (c) comment on the major problems and controversies surrounding the topic in question.
