New SCIS Logo: Winners of the Student Competition

The Swiss Centre of Irish Studies (SCIS) was founded in 2019 as a network for scholars working in the field of Irish Studies in Switzerland. To create a clear visual identity for the SCIS, we invited students at the affiliated institutions to submit their designs for a new logo (deadline: November 15, 2020).

We received a total of 11 submissions from students enrolled at three different universities, and would like to thank everyone who participated in the competition for taking the time to come up with creative logo designs.

The winners of the SCIS Logo Competition are:

  • 1st prize: Amelie Sproll (CHF 500.-, sponsored by the Embassy of Ireland, Switzerland)
  • 2nd prize: Daniela Teskera (CHF 100.- in book vouchers, sponsored by the UZH English Department)
  • 3rd prize: Salome and Sulamith Leuenberger (CHF 50.- in book vouchers, sponsored by the UZH English Department)

The design submitted by Amelie Sproll will be used as the official logo of the SCIS as of today (i.e. November 24, 2020).
