Erez Levon was Professor of Sociolinguistics at Queen Mary University of London, where he began working in 2008, and is Principal Investigator of the Accent Bias in Britain project, researching how accent attitudes impede access to employment in the UK; as of 2020, he is Professor of English Linguistics at the University of Bern and Director of the Center for the Study of Language and Society (CSLS).
