The inaugural event of the Swiss Centre of Irish Studies @ the Zurich James Joyce Foundation (SCIS-ZJJF) will feature two talks by invited speakers:
- Prof. Donal Ó Drisceoil (Cork): "Mapping the Irish War of Independence: Geography, History, Historiography"
- Prof. Matthew Campbell (York): "Reprisals: Jack and William Butler Yeats in Nineteen Hundred and Nineteen"
In addition, there will be a free public event, open to all who are interested:
- The Irish author Cónal Creedon (Cork) - who has just been nominated for the International Dublin Literary Award - will introduce his radio play adaptation of Frank O’Connor’s “Guests of the Nation,” followed by Q&A.
