The Doctoral Programme in English and American Literary Studies is hosting a visit from Mark Strand, former Poet Laureate of the United States, MacArthur Fellow, and Pulitzer Prize winner, emeritus professor from Columbia University and The University of Chicago.

He will give a reading from his poetry on Thursday, March 21st, in room KOL-H-302 (10.15-12.00). That afternoon, at 14:00, he will lecture (followed by discussion) on Wallace Stevens and American poetry in room PLH-1-105. Drinks and other delicacies will follow the session (probably in the Kaffeestübli).
