The 'Black Diaries' Controversy

Content

On the basis of this teaching unit, students will learn more about Roger Casement’s life and his (alleged) sexual orientation.

In addition, the teaching unit will encourage students to (a) consider the extent to which attitudes toward homosexuality have changed since Casement's lifetime, and (b) to debate issues that the queer community faces in today’s society.
