Laetitia Van Driessche studied English and Spanish linguistics and literature at the KU Leuven in Belgium. She wrote her MA thesis on Clausal Verb Complementation in Varieties of English, which combined both a diachronic and a synchronic angle. Her research interests include World Englishes, second-language acquisition, verb complementation and English diachrony.

Laetitia is currently doing her PhD on verb-dependent prepositional phrases in World Englishes, which is part of the PEAS project (https://www.prepcomp.uzh.ch/en.html). The project is funded by SNF for a period of four years and is led by Prof. Dr. Marianne Hundt.
