Berrigan's poem does not explicitly reference either Dada Zurich or the Cabaret Voltaire. However, the co-occurence of the words "Zurich" and "Voltaire" in a highly fragmented poem (i.e. a collage or montage of random pieces of 'found texts') cannot but evoke the avant-garde aesthetic associated with Dada as a ground-breaking modernist movement.
