Starting in the 1960s, Kona Khasu wrote poems, plays, and essays, and the importance of his contribution to Liberian literature has often been noted by specialists (e.g. Ojo-Ade 106 and Brambilla 177). However, many of his works are not widely available (due to the difficulty of finding publishing outlets for Liberian literature in the mid-twentieth century) or may even be lost (due to repercussions of a military coup and two civil wars).
This project aims to locate, collect, and preserve Kona Khasu's works – and here's how you can help.
