The interview was conducted by Lee Nichols and recorded in Monrovia, Liberia, on July 11, 1975, for the Voice of Ameria's "Conversations with African Writers" series. Among other things, it contains an excerpt from Kona Khasu's 1974 play Homage to Africa.
