Travelling, Accommodation, and Finances

We recommend travelling by train, but you can also travel by plane and be exempted from CO2 tax (see https://www.phil.uzh.ch/de/fakultaet/Nachhaltigkeit/Lenkungsabgabe.html - FAQs)

You are required to book your own travelling arrangements.

Travel costs will be reimbursed after the excursion up to a max. CHF 400 upon reception of proof of purchase, so please keep all receipts if you want to be reimbursed. 

We will provide two alternative suggestions for hotels in Stratford-Upon-Avon. 

• The cost of all academic activities is covered in full thanks to University Funding. Students will also receive a refund to cover travel costs (up to CHF 400).
• Students should anticipate costs covering accommodation and food to amount approx. to CHF 500.
• The Alumni Fund will provide up to CHF 175 per person to cover some of the accommodation costs.
